Leeds has plenty of great events coming up over the summer months, including a host of exciting performances at Leeds Arena.
Joined by his backing band Promise of the Real, Canadian singer-songwriter Neil Young will be rockin’ away at Leeds Arena on Friday 10 June as part of his Rebel Content Tour. With hits such as Harvest Moon, Heart of Gold/Sugar Mountain and Rockin’ in the Free World under his hat, the twice Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame inductee and GRAMMY Awards winner will not disappoint.
Having started in North America earlier this year, Barry Manilow has ‘hit the road’ ONE LAST TIME! The international super-star is performing at Leeds Arena on Saturday 11 June with his talented band of 13 musicians and singers. Manilow is a stranger to no-one. His famous hits include Mandy, Can’t Smile Without You and Copacabana. Speaking about this tour, he said “We had a great time putting the show together. We hope to take everyone on an emotional roller coaster. I can’t wait to see everyone dancing in the aisles.”
The Empress of Soul Gladys Knight will be jetting to the UK this summer to perform a handful of shows, including a date at Leeds Arena. The seven-time GRAMMY Awards winning artist will be singing all her classic hits, such Midnight Train to Georgia, License to Kill, The Way We Were, Help Me Make It Through the Night and many, many more. Fans in attendance can also expect a few special surprises, as Knight will be performing a number of songs off her latest album Where My Heart Belongs.
On Saturday 9 July, Leeds Arena plays host to a spectacle like no other as some of the strongest men in the world perform on stage with unbelievable feats of strength. Are you ready to witness these superhumans run with cars, toss kegs, lift huge logs and tackle the legendary Atlas Stones? This is a flagship event in the Giants Live World Tour and will be filmed as a Christmas special for Channel 5 and worldwide TV.
If you’re heading to first direct arena this June, don’t let parking be a problem. We have a number of car parks in Leeds available, the closest of which is our Merrion Centre car park – now with pre-booking. Beat the crowds and enjoy the show!
