Leeds is a beautiful city laced with a mixture of Georgian, Victorian, 20th and 21st century architecture. Although Leeds is not considered a traditional tourist destination, the city has plenty to offer, whether you’re only staying for a day or much longer.
If you’re here for shopping you’re very much spoilt for choice. Trinity Leeds, Victoria Quarter and The Corn Exchange are all must-visit destinations for casual and serious shoppers a like. They offer an incredible range of shops and brands, from high end to independent and everything in between; there’s more than something for everyone.
When you’ve finished shopping make sure you drop in to one of Leeds’ amazing pubs, bars or restaurants for a well deserved drink and bite to eat. There are literally too many great places to eat a ds’ oldest pubs. It’s remarkably cheap, even by Northern standards, and serves a great selection of craft beers, ales and bitters. There’s no TV, music or games at The Angel Inn, making it the go to spot for a relaxing chat with friends over a quiet pint. Neon Cactus: located on Call Lane, probably the city’s busiest bar strip, opened it’s doors in 2009 and since then has earned it’s place as one of the best bars in Leeds by providing vibrant food, great cocktails and a fun, upbeat atmosphere all inspired by the street vendors and cosmopolitan bars of Mexico. For easy access to Leeds’ shops, bars and restaurants we’d recommend our Whitehall car parks.
If you’re one for a bit of culture Leeds has plenty to offer when it comes to art galleries and museums. Leeds Art Gallery and The Henry Moore Institute should be at the top of your list. The world of modern and classical art is at your fingertips here, with a small but interesting range of exhibitions that are updated regularly. The Royal Armouries is another must for culture vultures! This could be called the national museum of all things deadly, housing over 75,000 items of war spreading from the Middle Ages to the present day. If you’d like to get your history hat on and visit the armouries then we’d recommend our Leeds Dock car park.
One of the latest and greatest additions to Leeds is first direct arena. Voted Best New Venue in the World 2014 at the Stadium Business Awards, the arena has played host to a plethora of amazing live music, comedy shows and sporting events. That trend is set to continue with future performances from Pharrell Williams, John Legend, Fleetwood Mac, Fall Out Boy, Joe Bonamassa, WWE Live, Michael McIntyre, Dynamo & Bill Bailey! Our Merrion Centre car park is directly opposite first direct arena; you couldn’t be any closer to the action!
We have a number of car parks across Leeds
