Considered by many as young, vibrant and cutting edge, Manchester always has something going on. The city is culturally rich, steeped in history and has plenty to offer visitors with a mass of shopping and entertainment facilities.
The recently renovated Arndale Centre is a shopping precinct that first opened it’s doors in the 1970s. Since it’s redevelopment the centre has become home to a massive 280 stores, with a host of names including Apple, H&M and Lush. The Millennium Quarter is to the rear of the Arndale Centre and offers further shopping opportunities in the form of Selfridges, Tiffany’s & Harvey Nichols. There are lots more shops in the centre of Manchester, including high end boutiques, sports stores and technology shops; everything within easy walking distance.
Manchester is a huge city, and as such has a huge selection of places to eat that serve an equally huge array of delicious cuisines. Established UK chains such as Pizza Express, Nando’s and Bella Italia can all be found in the city centre, but if you’re feeling adventurous we would recommend venturing out to West Didsbury, Chorlton or Ramsbottom to sample food by some highly regarded independent eateries, such as Ransoms.
In addition to Manchester’s great shopping opportunities and fantastic cuisine, the city offers just as much when it comes to history and culture. Manchester Museum, The Museum of Science and Industry and the People’s History Museum are all worth setting a couple of days aside to explore. On top of this there are a host of galleries and theatres such as Contact, The Cornerhouse, The Lowry and the Manchester Art Gallery.
Manchester is as famous for it’s music as it is it’s football, so be sure to check out some great live music at the Manchester Arena, see what’s popping in the underground dance world at the infamous Sankey’s and if you’re a football fan pay a visit to the National Football Museum.
We have 4 car parks in Manchester and they are all centrally located meaning the majority of the cities attractions are within easy walking distance.
